Rachel – It wasn’t a name given to me by my parents, although its my official name now. My parents are not english educated. They only understand simple english. I am glad they didn’t try to give me an english name. Else I will end up with being call “Mary” or worse “Lucy”. Which I would probably change it when I grew up with another name I fancy.
My mom used to babysit alot of kids. One of them was Pearl. I guess she would probably be 15 or 16 now. Her dad was a lawyer. Her mom was a nurse. I kinda admire the uncle. He was a lawyer. He talk with wisdom. Although he didn’t come too often, but whenever he’s around. His words never fail to make me realize new things about life. He gave me the name Rachel when I was about 9 or 10. And I use it till now, and its my official name now. In my NRIC I mean.
